About Zora

Zora has spent a significant portion of her life with her head shaved, in accordance with Jakeskin custom. At her first appearance, she lived with her father Gene only and had a full head of hair, but recently was shaved again with the advent of Gene's relatives, whom she appears to distrust. Her mother Emma is absent, although hoping to return eventually.

References have been made to her tendency to get into other people's apartments, and on more than one occasion she's stolen things[2]. It is still undetermined whether she has absorbed this habit from her Jake heritage or whether it is simply her nature.

Relationships

Zora is extremely close with her father, Gene. She cares for him in a way that is almost maternal at times. Her "Auntie" Reagan and, to a lesser extent, Scipio, assist Gene in caring for her, usually by babysitting or seeing to it that she gets to school on time.

She harbors distrust towards her grandmother Feather, and seeks to protect her father from her.

Zora is bit more comfortable with Ben than he would like. She frequently lets herself into his room and borrows his clothes, much to his irritation. Nevertheless, he remains relatively good-humored about the situation.

Apocrypha

The name 'Zoradysis' is an original name invented by Spike. She jokingly suggests that any reader who uses it to name their child should pay her royalties.
