Epiphany: English, "A Sudden, Intuitive Perception of or Insight into Something's Reality or Essential Meaning".
She lives with Scipio. She's repeating her junior year of high school. She wants to be famous. And that's all anybody really knows for sure.
Temperamental, abusive and as bratty as she can get away with, Pippi treats everyone within swinging distance with complete disregard. Her respect is saved for gossip shows and TV personalities, leaving nothing but vitriol and bile for the likes of Ben, Reagan, and Gene.
About Pippi
Epiphany "Pippi" de la Cruz is a teenager who is living with Scipio Spencer. Her temperament can be politely described as "moody."
Pippi lives with Scipio in an attempt on his part to get her life back on track. He wants her to complete high school or at least get her GED. [1] Pippi is already in special-education classes and gets him to do her homework on a regular basis.
The details of Pippi's past are unclear. Scipio provides a sanitized explanation about her mother's difficulty raising her to strangers and she has privately informed him that she was sexually molested. [2] Based on the police report he obtained from his co-worker and fellow security guard, Cully, Scipio later believes otherwise. [3]
Scipio is not in a relationship with Pippi and does not want to be. He is very friendly toward her potential date, Edgar Lark.
Scipio is somewhat nonplussed that Pippi's driving ambition is to be like Nicky Collision, a celebrity with a gossip-based television show.
